1980s Kid is the true story of my childhood in the 1980s. I was a mostly good girl but had a bratty streak that I couldn't help indulging every now and again. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a very colorful decade, a magical time when wooden floor model televisions played music videos featuring very cool rock stars wearing eyeshadow, permed mullets, and spandex leggings. It was an era when five-inch floppy disks were high technology, and wearing three pairs of socks over pegged pantlegs was considered fashionable.
Even if you didn't grow up in the 1980s, you will still probably be able to relate to the typical childhood adventures of hearing Santa Claus in the living room, getting into trouble with your first squirt gun, and covering your tracks after accidentally breaking one of the your brother's favorite toys.
